FOCUS & FLOW is a unique online retreat that blends the restorative powers of nature with the transformative potential of art. Filmed in the stunning surroundings of Maine, USA and guided by Karen Olson, an artist who found solace and strength in nature and creativity following personal loss, this course is an invitation to explore
your own path to healing and expression.
I am absolutely thrilled!
The Fibre Arts Take Two team has been working tirelessly on the video content and all the supporting materials. They have put together a beautiful course with nine modules that I am so proud to be a part of. It has been an amazing experience to work alongside the entire team – they are truly experts in their field.

Reconnect With Your Wild Side!
Fiber College Touchstone Retreat
Searsport, Maine
September 3-7, 2025
Together, we can build a beautiful partnership with nature, discovering fresh ways to weave our personal stories together with the natural world. Sensory experiences facilitate a heart-centered connection where we realize that we are intrinsically a part of the life all around us.
During our retreat, we will harvest sustainable plants from the edges of the landscape and from the garden for artmaking. Using our wet sheets and pulp, we will learn to sculpt, emboss, cast, and incorporate natural fibers to create three-dimensional works of art.
